Assignment: “The Everyday Marvel”

In a world that often moves at a breathtaking pace, we tend to overlook the everyday marvels that surround us. But as a photographer, it’s YOUR superpower to uncover the extraordinary within the ordinary. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to capture the magic hidden in your mundane and make it MAGICAL.

1. Choose Your Subject: Begin by selecting a subject that’s an integral part of your daily life. It could be your morning coffee ritual, your daily commute, you children, or even the houseplants you tend to lovingly. The key is to choose something you encounter regularly.
2. Lighting Magic: Pay close attention to the lighting. Experiment with things such as different times of the day and the way light interacts with your subject. Notice how the light transforms the mood and the aesthetics of your chosen subject.
3. Creative Composition: Explore various angles and perspectives. Don’t be afraid to get up close or step back. Incorporate creative composition techniques, such as the rule of thirds or leading lines, to give your image a unique visual appeal.
