I am 34 years old, had 4 kids in 5 years and I love spending my days with them! My husband works in Alaska and is gone a lot, so I try to make our time without him special and memorable, and I try to photograph it all! We live on a mini farm in Montana and have a bunch of chickens and quail. I am self-taught and always learning. I’ve been in business for 5 years and have worked my butt off, I’m ready to share my knowledge and pass it on to others.
Real life, funny, and raw.
My children and our current stories.
Be part of a new community, connect with fellow mom-togs/photographers that have the same values and drive as I do.
n a nutshell, I’m a mom, an INFJ-T, extroverted introvert, addicted to coffee (but still pretty picky about it), who loves a good IPA, is devoted to Stevie Nicks, and is a former forest preschool teacher. I love helping families get outside, whether that’s with photography, nature homeschooling consulting, or organizing hikes. And of course, I love telling families’ stories with photography.
Emotive lifestyle/documentary
The way a visual scene *feels* really inspires me. It’s amazing how an image can evoke more than just the visual sense and transport you right back to an earlier moment. My youngest child is also a huge inspiration to me. I realize how fleeting this time is, and what strange times they are! I’m documenting this now for him to have later. In a similar vein, he’s really inspired me to get in the frame. I don’t have a lot of images of myself with my older children (who no longer want to take photographs), and I really regret that. The inspiration for my photography business has been fulfilling my mission of helping families reconnect with each other and with nature. It’s why I specialize in adventurous elopements and adventure family sessions. Creating an atmosphere where people can feel comfortable and rekindle that connection makes the images that much more meaningful.
I’m looking for a tight knit community of photographers to grow with. To that end, I’m looking for inspiration and motivation to create more for myself (in addition to my business), to prioritize personal projects, and to learn. I realize that becoming a Hello Pro is just the beginning of the journey. My ultimate goal would be to eventually mentor and teach. I used to be a university instructor and miss that part of myself. I definitely feel better when I’m helping and guiding others (and I end up learning so much about myself in the process!).
I am a lover of people and a helper by nature. I have been married for 9 years to an incredibly patient and adventurous man who supports my passion for constantly creating photos. We have 4 beautiful children, ages 3 wks- 8 yrs old. They are my constant inspiration to document life! I started taking landscape photos in 2009 during grad school as a hobby. I was going to school to get my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Photography was a way for me to embrace some quiet time and relax. Editing became a creative release outside of a job that was very structured and often stressful. I worked in various specialties of the field: eating disorders, domestic violence/sexual abuse, drug and alcohol addiction and other related trauma. I loved my job more than anything but once I had children I found it hard to be both roles day in and day out. I left my newly started career to grow my family. Along the way I began taking more and more pictures of my growing family and that slowly developed into another dream career that allowed me to explore my creative heart in photography while connecting with other people in their story. Outside of work I love being outdoors! We live in sunny San Diego so the weather keeps us outside and coastal almost year round. Our kids are active and adventurous so we are always on the go and you can imagine I am constantly chasing them trying to document it all! We love good food (especially Mexican food), great coffee and traveling!
I would describe my style and emotive, active and fluid. I like to feel something deeply in all of my images. I work very hard to focus on genuine emotion and connectedness in my clients. I enjoy capturing the full range of emotions to best document my client’s story and most authentic representation. My editing style is more on the moody side- utilizing light to add drama to my images and the story. I like rich colors but toned down and use the light, tones and movement to help portray the emotion of the image.
The feeling of a moment and wanting to document that in an image for others to feel. I want to feel my images so to be truly inspired I need to be connected and invested in the story of my subject. I am always inspired by my children because of course I am invested in everything they do and as a mother I want to preserve the emotions of motherhood as they grow. I am incredibly inspired by motherhood, genuine love and attachment and documenting that portrayal based on each client’s story. Before I was a photographer I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy working with female trauma, addiction and families facing several different obstacles. Learning people’s stories and connecting with them in those emotions will always grab my heart. Photography is an additional
My goals are to connect with other artists. I hope to alway continue learning from others in the industry as I love to be challenged and learn new aspects of photography. I am incredibly inspired by others so being around artists, talking to them about their work or learning how they do things continuously sparks a greater drive and I love that inspiration. I also hope to give back to others by way of support, encouraging and teaching should that be an opportunity.
I am Norwegian, after 14 years of living in Scotland I returned with my Scottish Husband and two wonderful girls in 2013 to the West Coast of Norway. Life can be hectic, it can be hard to unwind after a busy day in the office and running the girls from one activity to the other.
Photography is my passion and my creative outlet, I am usually found with a camera glued to my hand. At night when the house is quiet, I will sit in my little corner sipping a cup of tea whilst being engrossed in my passion. This is my little happy place and it gives me a sense of peace. During these hours I will edit, catch up with friends or just chat photography with anyone willing to talk or listen.
I feel a huge pride in helping others develop and grow, whether it is my daughters accomplishing new skills, overcoming challenges, or supporting a fellow photographer through growth and development. Although I have so much to learn myself, I love to help others develop where I can.
Emotive, dreamy storyteller.
I want my work to evoke an emotion and tell a story.
This beautiful thing called life!!
It is all about capturing the little moments in life, about evoking emotion and telling a story.
As I have watch our babies change and grow into little people, we get to see their accomplishments and their pride, they grow up right in front of our eyes and it is impossible to keep the memory fresh. Each image tells a story and when the years go by and memories fade you can pick up a photograph which holds the key to unlock memories and bring your story back to life.
I wanted to be part of a supportive and creative community where I can continue to grow as a photographer, but also as a person. I believe the Hello Pro Collective is a community where I will feel valued and where I can contribute and share my passion for photography with others.
I am a mother to four wild little children. Our days are spent homeschooling and living in the rural countryside of Virginia. I love capturing the moments of our simple life as my children splash in puddles, climb trees, and play in the woods. I am big into natural living. A few years ago my husband and I decided to try our hand at minimalism and sold most of our possessions, packed up our family of 5, and lived in an RV for almost three years. My fourth child was actually born in the RV. It was a beautiful Adventureland lesson that I would not trade for the world. Much of my childhood was spent traveling abroad with my family. I have lived in Austria, Russia, and Kazakhstan. I believe that living overseas and experiencing different cultures played a big role in shaping me into the artist I am today. I attended the College of William and Mary and have a BA in English Literature, which is another one of my great loves. My mother was a painter. She struggled with mental illness for years before taking her own life in 2008. I wouldn’t be the artist I am today if it weren’t for her influence.
I would describe my style as childhood memories infused with nature.
Oh gosh soo many things it’s hard to know where to start. I think of course my children are a huge inspiration. Watching them grown and reliving my own childhood through them. I am deeply inspired by nature. It is my escape and I find deep inspiration in the quiet moments I spend alone in nature. Beautiful things also inspire me, a cracked teacup, a piece of beautiful wallpaper, the way a piece of fabric drapes across the back of a chair. There is so much beauty in this world in so many different forms and I just want to share it in my photography in the hopes of bringing other people joy in a world that can be very dark at times.
I am hoping to grow as a photographer and become part of a community where I can learn and share support for others. I would love to teach!
