We have another Hour by Hour Challenge completed by Vanessa Seifert! Here is what she had to say about her experience!

“The time has come for a new Day In The Life Project. The kiddos are now almost two years older than the first time I embarked on a project like this, and I love to look back and see how much we have all changed and grown.
I have been working diligently on being more intentional with my photography. Projects like this, inspire and encourage me to pick up the camera more and get some practice in.
I am also currently working on a “p52” project (1 photograph a week based on a specific monthly theme) which has been challenging me to focus on one particular aspect of photography for an entire month. The current theme for this month is “details” and, as you will probably notice by looking at the photographs below, this theme has spilled over into this project too.
So here is an almost “hour-by-hour” collection of moments from a random Sunday in February.”
6:53 am – kids had already been up for a while when finally gathered enough courage to leave my comfy warm bed to capture them playing with their Legos. Ever since they were born, they have yet to sleep past 7:30 am, regardless of bedtime…weekends, holidays, etc…
7:36 am – Not sure what got them both reading in Zarah’s room but when I got up, for the second time =D, there they were.
8:44 am – Zuri working diligently on making us all waffles for breakfast.
8:51 am – Waffles!!!
10:17 & 10:58 am – Piano practice. Not the kids most cherished moment of the day but we try to get that out of the way before we do anything else. Work before play 😉
12:06 pm – Zuri was playing outside with Pluto while my husband set fire to a HUGE pile of dried leaves and branches we had collected in the backyard. here he was getting Pluto a drink from the water hose
12:43 pm – The much anticipated “ipad time.” They really look forward to their weekly allotment of 30 min playing hand-picked games on the ipad.
1:20 pm – Time to give the filthy four-legged child a bath. Zarah did it all by herself like a pro.
2:21 pm – Zuri doing his laundry to make sure he has clean clothes for school the next day.
2:56 pm – Linner, it is kind of like brunch but between lunch and dinner.
4:01 pm – Zarah cutting the pattern for a new dress for her doll.
5:05 pm – Sewing the dress
6:07 pm – Zarah and her doll wearing the new dress she made
8:27 pm – A very happy doggie anticipating some celebratory popcorn after the kids were in bed for the night. The adult’s reward for another day we all survived =-)

“ As I mentioned earlier, this is an “almost” hour-by hour project. There were lots more going on that I did not capture or chose not to include pictures. It is definitely hard to pick just a few out of over 500.I love my little family and projects like this make me appreciate the every day moments that we get to experience together at this stage in our lives.
Looking forward to the projects to come!”
Vanessa has also done this Day in the Life Project in years past. Here are her images from her project from 2019 as well!
We have a regular feature to see how all of YOU spend your days! If you are interested in completing this challenge, and writing a few paragraphs about your day to go with your images, I’d love to feature you on the blog! Email your text and images (sized 2048px on the long end) to hellostorytellerblog@gmail.com!
This seems like quite the challenge! But I am intrigued and may give it a go.
