Tell Us About Yourself!
I’m a stay at home mom to 3 (4.5 years, 3 years, and 16 months) kids, soon to be 4 in May. Yes, you read that right, I’ll have 4 kids, ages 4 and under when our fourth is born, you could say things are a little.. chaotic at times but I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m also a coffee addict! Therefore, I love a good white chocolate mocha from Starbucks (I need ALL the caffeine to keep up with my kids!). I’m a wife to my hardworking husband who is active duty Air Force.
As an introvert that thrives by being outdoors, I feel we’re lucky we’re in an area (for now) that we can spend a large portion of our time at out explore those parks. We currently live in Texas and have some of the most beautiful natural parks around us but come summer time, it can be brutally hot, almost too hot to be outdoors. Photography is something I picked up a couple years ago as a hobby. As a result, I just recently I started diving into more and learning the creative and editing aspect of it. I use my photography as a form of self-care for myself. I enjoy watching those moments I envision in my head come to life on screen. I’m currently in the middle of my own 365 project. Above all, I love how it pushes me to be creative and explore new ideas.
How Would You Describe Your Photography Style?
I’d considered my style documentary/storytelling. I LOVE to capture those everyday moments that we’ll all miss one day, from the messy faces and dirty feet to the little details like their favorite lovey. Therefore, I like stepping back and watching my kids and thinking about those little things that make them unique and capturing them to cherish forever. One day I want to be able to remember exactly what their bedroom looked like (toys and all) or how messy they were at the dinner table, & the simple things.
What Inspires You To Create?
My biggest inspirations are my kids and trying to find beauty in our everyday lives, from the mundane moments of our daily lives to the beautiful adventures we go on. However, one day I know will miss these days and I always want to have photographs for us to look back on. I also love being outdoors, there’s something about nature that just makes me feel creative and alive. I love taking time to myself to capture those little details in nature too.
What goals are you hoping to achieve as a Hello Artist?
As a Hello Artist, my main goal is to always continue to learn and grow as an artist myself and have the support of this amazing community. After that, I would love to be able to mentor, teach and offer support to other photographers. I really enjoy photography, as a stay a home mom it has given me a sense of purpose, a supporting community, and a self-care outlet. I want to be able to use my art to inspire others to document their everyday moments and help inspire and support them along the way.

Tell Us About Yourself!
My name is Zephy and I am a mother of two girls. I am a partner to a Scotsman and a wedding and portrait photographer from the UK. In the past year I have really developed my personal photography style. I have also enjoyed getting involved in communities that have helped me shape and grow both personally and professionally. I have a First Class Honours Degree in Commercial Photography. Additionally, I have been published in many blogs and magazines. My work is also exhibited in London at Freerange and I was a South West Wedding Award Finalist in 2018. I also love taking time for me including playing the piano, or taking a trip in the campervan to the Scottish mountains with my partner and spending time with my beautiful girls.
How Would You Describe Your Photography Style?
I feel I have a versatile, creative style which is inspired by my family and nature. I am fond of using my styling skills, fine art lighting and self portraiture to express my voice. Therefore, my style is honest, creative and wild.
What Inspires You To Create?
Everything inspires me… from my children to beautiful light. This is because it all has such amazing potential. Mood drives my work and love to play with colours or pieces of music to create my imagery. I am most happy when I have a camera in my hand. My children and partner love to create with me. This is why I try to include them as much as possible in the process.
What goals are you hoping to achieve as a Hello Artist?
I am hoping to develop as an artist and practitioner. Being a Hello Artist will help me get involved further with the Hello Storyteller community. Sharing and growing in this community is something that I enjoy and I love the community so far. I hope to continue onto Hello Pro in the future. I have a passion for teaching and writing as I feel my skills will be beneficial to the community.
