The practice of taking self portraits can be extraordinarily nurturing to our growth, development, and creativity as artists. Though the process can feel awkward, limiting, or clumsy, at first; intentionally and regularly getting in the frame will eventually feel more natural and even help us connect with our subjects emotionally, when we are back in our comfort zone, behind our cameras.
The Hello Pro Creatives have embarked on a new, themed, self portrait project, intended to get our creative juices flowing and enhance our confidence on both sides of the lens.
Our very first theme was “Masquerade”. Each of us approached the idea of obscuring our face in our own unique way, whether with a literal mask, an object, or in post processing.
