I am Emily. I am a mother to two children, a wife, and a badass NICU nurse. I have two dogs, a cat, and a lot of piles of clutter around my house. I grew up in Canada, but my parents packed up and moved to Texas when I was a teenager. After becoming an American a few years ago, I now truly consider this place “home.” I always love a good challenge, being a leader, and helping others. I am a very empathetic person, and love my tribe to the ends of the earth. I completed my first 52 week project last year, and am currently going strong with my first 365 day project! I finally feel like I have truly found where I belong in life, and I am absolutely loving it.
I am a storyteller and memory keeper. My style is authentic, candid, and often true to life, no matter how messy it gets.
I am inspired by every day life; I don’t just want to create beautiful images, I want to freeze moments in time that show what it’s life to live in our life, every day that it happens. I want images that will help me keep my own memories when my children have grown up and moved away, and built their own families. I want images that will keep my children’s memories fresh, so they will always remember what it was like when we would read bedtime stories together, build forts, and tackle hard life lessons and challenges.
When I first started my photography journey, my goal was to be able to authentically capture my children’s childhoods and have a tangible means to preserve my memories. As I have become a better photographer, it has become such an emotional journey for me, and something I have wanted to share with all of my friends who are parents as well. Hello Storyteller is a great community where I can help more moms learn, as well as continue to challenge myself in my own journey. Being a part of the HS community has inspired me to get out of my comfort zone, try new things, and say “yes” more often to new adventures in my daily life!
My name is Tressa, and I am a married mom of two littles. In my professional career, I am a family nurse practitioner for the past 8 years, and a registered nurse for the last 18 years. I am currently on leave while I homeschool my 8 year old and 6 year old. Homeschooling is such a wonderful and unique experience and I feel so blessed to be spending this time with my little ones. I have been studying and pursuing the art of photography for the last 9 years. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a Louisiana native, born and raised. I love having photography as a creative outlet, which allows me to express myself and also gives me an opportunity to learn and grow continuously.
I would best describe my creative style as bold and true to life. I embrace every day moments through documentary style photography with a storytelling element.
I am inspired by the art of every day ordinary moments. I look for a story that needs to be told through my lens. I am drawn to simplistic events that might otherwise be forgotten, never to be thought of again. I love beautiful light and color, and often seek out the clouds.
I would like to engage within a photography community that encourages creatives to push boundaries. I hope to not only achieve personal growth but help others grow in turn.
I’m a mom to two kiddos so far, a boy who is 3 and a girl who is (almost) 1. We enjoy spending time together by going on walks and jumping on the trampoline. Family is the most important thing to me and I adore capturing it with my camera. I love to cook and make cakes. I also really enjoy playing the piano. My husband and I love to go on walks together and dream about our future. He’s in school to become a Physical Therapist while I stay home with the kiddos. We live in a small, nothing special, apartment and it’s fun to make it work for my photography.
I would describe it as real, simple, and lifestyle.
Honestly, the world around me. I find so much beauty in simple, mundane things. It’s easy to get lost in this beautiful place we live in. My children inspire me, they are just too cute. I love to make the simple things look beautiful.
I honestly hope to one day teach and mentor. It is a dream job for me! I really love teaching photography to new and aspiring artists. I love to help other photographers achieve the photos they dream of! And I also love the process of creating content for others to read and be inspired by. I am really hoping to be an influencer in the community and to inspire others.
I’m a 37 yr old, stay at home mum of 4 boys. I love coffee, carrot cake and Thai food! We live rurally on the west coast of Scotland and I love taking pictures! For myself and also for others. Play dates are always well documented and handed over to the ever surprised parents. I enjoy spending time in my own little hideaway (my mini office in my bedroom!) when the kids are at school but very rarely get to actually do this through the week. I hope to one day be known for my roll in helping people become more able to document their own days.
I look for the moments that are often looked over. I follow my instincts, I shoot to document and savour peoples true self, the genuine happiness or otherwise.
As cheesy as this sounds, my family. Having such intentional images of my children, even in documentary or lifestyle form is super important to me and I want to continue to provide them with visual memories of their childhood! I’m an extremely visual person and this means so much to me to be able to provide this for them.
My main goal, down the line would be to teach others. Its never been an interest of mine to teach until recently. I want to help others achieve a sense of pride and achievement while doing something they truly love!
Hello! I am Rachel Krausmann, I live in Orlando FL with my husband and four young children. Photography is my artistic outlet that combines my love of arts and my family. I know how fast kids grow up and I want to remember our whole family’s different phases and unique characteristics throughout the years. I mostly focus my attention on my kids, but I do sessions for friends and family as well. I have recently started to do product collaborations, thanks to an amazing course I took through Hello Storyteller by Carley McCaughan. I began to shoot in manual 4 years ago, but it was only about a year and a half ago that I found my voice as a photographer and artist. I carry my camera everywhere and if we are not at home, we are playing outside, are in the pool, at the beach, or at Disney World. I shoot with a Nikon d750 and mostly use my 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, and Go Pro.
I love to capture my kid’s childhood in an artistic way. I use different perspectives and light to achieve this. My images are true to life with vibrant, rich and clean tones.
I have four young children, two girls and two boys, and I am obsessed with capturing these fleeting moments. I know the images and videos I create will be theirs to pass on to their children, and that means the world to me.
To be among other Hello Artists and Pros, I know that I will learn invaluable advice. I will be pushed to be a better artist and professional. I would love to gain the confidence to share my knowledge in a blog or course setting, especially for those who are just beginning their photography path. I have a passion for people and I love to encourage and be a cheerleader for others.
I am a mum to three gorgeous little boys, 5, 6 and 8. My husband is FIFO (fly in/fly out), he works out west on a two week on/two week off roster. We have a couple of stick insects, guinea pigs and until recently two dogs, we recently had our beautiful rough collie pass. I am a primary school teacher, but I am currently working two days a week in a high school as a case manager for inclusive education. I also work casually at Australia Zoo as an education officer and get to have some contact with some pretty cool animals there. I also have my photography business. We live on the Sunshine Coast in Qld Australia and we love hiking, bike riding, exploring the beach, mountains, creeks and bush around us.
I am an INFP personality type, I am extremely indecisive and over think just about everything, my mind races t night and I find it hard to get a good nights sleep.
I love wine, cheese, liquorice and sunsets, the moon and a good book! I love gardening and am trying to bring my boys up to care for our beautiful earth and environment. I sing terribly, dance terribly, can be a procrastinator if it is something I am not interested in and am an awful cook! I hate cooking and hate chopping and stirring things, I get bored and would much rather spend the time at the end of the day outside watching my boys ride their bikes. I adore animals and kids. I am a mum first and foremost and my boys are so very special to me.
I mostly photograph families, but also maternity and business branding and I would love to part of the Hello Story teller community!
Rich, bold, colourful, nature inspired, emotive and connected. I truly love capturing the little childhood moments of my three boys. I want to remember every little detail at every stage of their lives. We spend a lot of outside and we love nature. I am inspired by nature and their affinity with it.
My biggest inspiration is my three boys. They grow so very quickly and there is so much I already can’t remember, when I look at my images it takes me straight back to that moment. I want to remember as much as I can about them and tell their story of childhood. Childhood is such a precious and important time of life. I am equally inspired by nature, it’s beauty, colours, textures, weather and the way my boys are themselves in nature, their affinity with it and the way they can be free.
I am inspired by emotion and connection, the bonds between families and the natural and real moments. My family photography is relaxed nd natural and I work with my families to capture them as they are.
I would love to be part of a beautiful and inspiring community. I want to continue to learn and grow and also help other grow. I am a primary school by teacher and I love to teach. I want to challenge myself and continue to work on my craft, I feel like I am always learning. I want to part of a community and have that common goal to work towards and support each other. It can be a lonely business and place, I think having a beautiful community to inspire and grow with is so important.
My name is Sofia Sitnikiene, I am from London. I am married to an amazing man and have two beautiful children named Oscar and Olivia, like many of us, they are the reason for me wanting to get serious about photography. I am also a graphic designer and Illustrator and worked for many years in the industry before having my children. Currently I am so passionate about photography, it is all that I do in my free time. I am a contributor for Arcangel Images and some of the photographs that I’ve sold for books covers have been internationally published. I would love to be able to teach one day and want to continue to grow as an artist. There is always something new to learn.
I am a fine art photographer, I love to capture emotions and stories. I am attracted to vibrant, dark and moody edits. Light is an important part of my story when I compose an image, I’m always searching for beautiful light. Apart from photographing my children which is a very important part of my journey, I love to capture nature, flowers and plants. I also love street and travel photography, it is what I used to photograph before having children.
My family, nature, the streets of London where I live, emotions, our daily lives. Stories that I create in my mind, change, growth, music, a good book, poetry, movies, the weather, holidays abroad and other photographers.
I want to connect with a community of female photographers so that we can grow together through learning. I am happy to share and mentor others in the future.
