Tell Us About Yourself!
I am based in the historic, beautiful, super touristy city of Oxford in the UK, with my husband, 2 boys and an elderly house bunny (he’s 12!). I work as Head of Integrity and Change for a large international poverty and humanitarian charity. My work focuses on taking our organisation on an internal journey of change, to become anti racist, more inclusive, partner led, and safe from abuse. It’s right at the heart of the difficult conversations we are having in the sector now, about our role, and what our contribution should be in creating more equal societies. It’s a really exciting space to be in, but it’s a challenging ask!
How Would You Describe Your Photography Style?
I love telling stories through activity and connection. I enjoy using scale to give a sense of place and context to my stories and framing to draw the viewer in to my images. I embrace high contrast and strong directional light, using shadows to add to my work. I adore the timelessness and impact of black and white, and how by stripping out colour, it enables the viewer to focus on the moment and the emotion of a scene. I want you to view my images, and leave feeling like you now know my boys; their adventures, their individual personalities, and their adorable relationship.
What Inspires You To Create?
My boys are my why. I have always been interested in photography, but being an expensive hobby, I thought it was out of my reach. When my mum passed away from cancer in 2017, I decided life was too short to not follow my dreams and I that I deserved to invest in myself. She always loved my (frankly awful!) enthusiastic phone photos of my eldest, and she would send them to all our family, whether they wanted them or not! Life is always changing, I feel a strong need to capture these special fleeting childhood moments of my boys, and I know my mum would have loved them.
What goals are you hoping to achieve as a Hello Artist?
I want to continue to grow my skills, my voice and widen the genres I shoot. I want to continue to learn every single day! I have really valued the input from my big tog, and would love one day to be skilled enough to provide big tog support for someone else on their journey. I want to get more involved with the community to learn through contribution and engaging with others’ work as much as learning through my work and the learning opportunities I undertake.

Tell Us About Yourself!
I am a pediatric nurse and Mom to 3 girls. I genuinely enjoy seeing life through my kids eyes and while I have been taking pictures since high school I definitely decided I wanted to do more with it once I had these little people around who were always so thrilled and excited with the mundane and ordinary. I spend a lot of time reading (mostly fiction – I love a good story) and as much time as possible outside! Hiking, camping, and most recently stand up paddle boarding. I’m getting closer to 40, and doing my absolute best to say yes to every adventure that comes my way!

What Inspires You To Create?
I think there is so much magic and beauty in our everyday. I like to find ways to capture that, to show that everything can be beautiful if you just know how and where to look.
What goals are you hoping to achieve as a Hello Artist?
I really love the Hello Storyteller community. It has been so welcoming and helpful and inspiring. I would love to be able to participate in that in more of a leadership role. I would love to help inspire others to continue seeing their world – whether that is through teaching, or just supporting others who are just starting out.
