Hello Storyteller Colour Project

How do you tell a story with a photo? What elements are front and center, drawing your emotional eye in to ride the wave?

In many cases, colour is the first thing that stops us in our tracks. A pleasing tone, a neon burst, or maybe a dramatic flare – colour influences the way we interpret the stories in our art. It gives us an outlet to express ourselves and our creativity in a unique way, manipulating the message being told to our liking.

Colour is a powerful communication tool and can be used to signal action, influence mood, and even influence physiological reactions. We all have certain colours that we are drawn to and surround ourselves with in our everyday lives, and some that we must look a little harder to find.
Every month for the past 8 months, the Hello Creatives family has been challenging each other to see the beauty in colour, focusing on one specific colour each month until they made it the whole way through the rainbow. Every person perceives colour differently, and I’m so excited to share the results of this project with you!
