We have another Day in the Life Challenge completed by Lindsay Craig! Here is what she had to say about her experience!

I motivated myself to do a day in the life challenge (DITL), or dittle as I have decided to refer to it…. And then I sing it, “A little dittle about Jack and Diane”. Anyways, I’m getting off track. …So I did a dittle. And, it rejuvenated my soul a bit.
Life has been a little crazy around here, well, it has always been crazy, I have 6 kids and 4 of them are doing virtual school, but it has been even crazier the last 3 weeks and it seems like when life gets crazy, photography and creativity gets put on the back burner for a bit. I am always super motivated when I see someone else’s DITL and I have tried to complete the challenge twice in the past and was not very happy with the outcome either time. I think I get in my head about the hours and what each hour represents and it gets hard.
This time, I decided to attack it with more of a laid back approach. I just had my camera at the ready all day long and shot the moments that felt significant to our story or ones that I would want to remember. I have some gaps, and also some hours with multiple images, I actually ended up with over 20 images so I will call it a success.
Morning- breakfast:
School log ons, and lots of screen time for the littles (if we are being honest with each other).
Early afternoon:
All of the snacks, Spiderman and waiting for the big kids to get done with school (this particular Friday was a half day)
Afternoon:
Dad is off on Fridays so we decided to hit dairy Queen and the park
Evening:
Home for quiet time, books and toys
Night:
Movie night (I highly recommend Flor and Ulysses) and bedtime stories
Photography has always been away for me to slow down and focus on the little moments that matter, to find the good in the hard days. This dittle helped remind me of that. The days are long and draining, but even on the hardest days, there are beautiful moments and moments I hope to remember once we have left this stage in life.
Thank you for following along on our day!”
We have a regular feature to see how all of YOU spend your days!
